We've always believed that crafting spirits is about more than just the liquid in the bottle – it's about history, legacy, and sometimes... the unexplainable. After much discussion among our team, we've decided to share something unusual that happened at our distillery. This isn't our typical blog about cocktail crafting or barrel aging. What unfolded this Thanksgiving left us questioning the thin line between our world and whatever lies beyond. It began on Thanksgiving Eve when our phones pierced the midnight silence. The security system had detected someone walking around outside the building and in our production room – except when we checked the footage, everywhere was eerily empty. We dismissed it as a glitch, but ten minutes later, another alert. And another. And another. For four haunting hours, our cameras insisted someone was walking through our distillery. Someone we couldn't see. We began to talk about this more and decided that Old Man Van Epp buried just a hundred feet from our distillery building, must be checking out the new facility of his former farm. But the truly inexplicable waited for us inside. In the bathroom, opening up on Saturday we found two large puddles of hand soap beneath an emptied wall dispenser – the kind you must physically press to use. Something, or someone, had deliberately emptied it onto the floor, leaving us with an unsettling cleanup and far more questions than answers. Our ghostly visitor continued his nightly inspections throughout Thanksgiving weekend. Then, as mysteriously as he arrived, Old Man Van Epp departed – perhaps satisfied with his assessment of what had become of his homestead, though clearly unimpressed with modern amenities. He has not been back since. What are your thoughts on this unusual visit? Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, we'd love to hear your theories. Does your business or home have its own ghostly guardian? |
